چکیده

Thermoplastic elastomer composites based on ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA), natural rubber (NR), and Mengkuang leaf fibre were prepared using the sulfur peroxide vulcanization systems. Different curing systems loadings affecting processing torque, tensile, thermal, morphology of investigated. Addition resulted in poor dispersion agglomeration matrix, which may have affected efficiency stress transfer thus could explain a decline tensile thermal properties. Composites with dynamic showed rougher surface that might be due to presence crosslinking, requires more force fail. The increase stabilization torque for was observed addition agents, implies some changes at molecular level crosslinking. Tensile properties filled EVA/NR indicated strength, elongation break, Young’s modulus cure system higher than unvulcanised composites. sulphur better resistance towards degradation compared system. This attributed dicumyl (DCP), degrades polymer chain or high temperature.

Properties of Vulcanized Polyisoprene Rubber Composites Filled with Opalized White Tuff and Precipitated Silica

Opalized white tuff (OWT) with 40 μm average particle size and 39.3 m(2)/g specific surface area has been introduced into polyisoprene rubber (NR). Their reinforcing effects were evaluated by comparisons with those from precipitated silica (PSi). The cure characteristic, apparent activation energy of cross-link (E(ac)) and reversion (E(ar)), and mechanical properties of a variety of composites ...

Mechanical, Electrical and Electro-Mechanical Properties of Thermoplastic Elastomer Styrene-Butadiene-Styrene/Multiwall Carbon Nanotubes Composites

Composites of styrene-butadiene-styrene (SBS) block copolymer with multiwall carbon nanotubes (MWCNT) were processed by solution casting in order to investigate the influence of filler content, the different ratio of styrene/butadiene in the copolymer and the architecture of the SBS matrix on the electrical, mechanical and electro-mechanical properties of the composites. It was found that fille...

Microbiological deterioration of vulcanized rubber.

Data are presented which show that the constitution of the recovery medium exerts an appreciable effect on the apparent thermal resistance of spores of Putrefactive Anaerobe 3679. The routine use of a simple yeast extract-starch medium (YES) as a recovery medium in thermal resistance studies on this organism is recommended. In addition to giving thermal resistance values comparable to those obt...

Study of Mechanical, Thermal and Micro structural Properties of EPDM/Polypropylene/Nano clay Composites with Variable Compatibilizer Dosage

Thermoplastic elastomers are a special class of polymeric materials that combine the properties of thermo plasticity during processing and rubber-like behaviour in service. They can be processed in conventional plastic processing equipment, such as twin screw extruders, internal batch mixers, extruders and injection moulding machine, but exhibit vulcanized rubber like ultimate properties (i.e. ...
